DJ MauriDJ Mauri, or as some would know him, Woolly, has spent his life buying and selling dance music and worked for the last 25 years in record stores Central Station in Melbourne and Real Groovy in Auckland. He is an avid vinyl collector and loves DJing on the thin black stuff. He started spinning discs at the Laird in Melbourne 16 years ago and went from there to most clubs on the Melbourne scene before moving to Auckland and DJing at the now legendary URGE Bar where he has been resident for the past 12 years. He has played at many dance parties and events for the gay scene and is proud to mentor up-and-coming DJ's in Auckland. Mauri's music style incorporates mostly house, influenced by his past and the future, funk, soul, disco, rock, electro, new wave, tribal, techno and is never afraid to take risks. |
